Mohamed Azab El-Liethy is a researcher and quality manager at Environmental Microbiology Lab., Water Pollution Research Department, National Research Centre (NRC), Egypt. He received his PhD in field of Microbiology in 2013. He attended as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Faculty of Science, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Pretoria, South Africa during 2015. He visited antibiotic resistance research group, Faculty of Biotechnology, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto, Portugal in 2016. He participated in training course held on Osaka, Japan during 2011. He is a member in the Environmental Consultation and Water Quality unit and the Consultation unit for Viruses and Bioassay Researches at the National Research Centre (NRC) since 2004. Mohamed is a member in many national and international scientific research projects since 2004. The major research interest of El-Liethy is water and wastewater microbiology, water quality assessment, water biofilm, bacterial indicators, biodegradation, coliphages, detection and identification of pathogenic bacteria by culture based methods and molecular biology.
